1. Girl’s life transformation through sport

This programme focuses on support for vulnerable girls majority of whom are homeless.

LIFE uses sport especially football to build a sense of responsibility, community social cohesion and reintegration. Through this programme, LIFE aims to reduce stigma and discrimination of girls and young women living in the streets and ensure that they are part of the society and can lead a normal life and are respected with full rights and dignity. This is an important way of empowering the girl child irrespective of their social background which reduces and finally eliminates discrimination. LIFE leverages on Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA)’s programmes to reach out to girls through football and encourage them to take on sports to not only deal with discrimination but enhance their chances of being fully reintegrated into normal lives off the streets with the same rights and responsibilities as other citizens.
